iTinkle Fights Prostate Cancer

Dear Tinklers,

The live iTinkle app should be on the app store any time now. I can tell by the complete lack of comments thus far that millions are waiting peelessly in anticipation of launch. That's a very good thing because 50 cents of every dollar received (after Apple and the Tax Man get their cut) for this purile little penile utility will go to the Prostate Foundation founded by Michael Milken. The foundation is doing critical work to reduce the impact of prostate disease through research, education and outreach. I'll keep a tally here and I will post a running total of donations here.

In the mean time, visit the Prostate Foundation, learn more about taking care of your health and, if you have the means, make a donation.

iTinkle User Tip

When using iTinkle, it is best to hold it in the hand next to your ear rather than the hand that is controlling your, uhm, "John Thomas". The latter choice could lead to the kind of thing that I am very sure will void your warranty.

If, on the other hand (Oh God that is awful!), you can both hold it next to your ear and, simultaneously, use that same hand to control the stream then I whole-heartedly congratulate you and look forward to meeting you in person next time the circus comes to town!

Cheers,

Phil

Pavlov's Pee

While at a local (Richmond, VA) French restaurant I excused myself to go to the mens' room. When I walked in, there was a guy standing at a urinal with an iPhone to his ear while he, uhm, took care of business. Realizing that iPhone users are a cut above, I naturally assumed that the gentleman was suffering from classical "Urinal Stage Fright" and that there must be "an app for that!"

It turns out that there wasn't. Now there is.
At a touch of the button, iTinkle plays sounds to pee by - or, more exactly, sounds that make you want to pee. In fact, I challenge anyone to listen to the carefully selected tracks played by iTinkle and not get the urge to "release the hounds". When I played this for my brother over the phone, he chuckled and told me it was "cute". Less than a minute later, he passed the phone to his daughter saying "Here, talk to your uncle Phil!" and headed to the WC.

Score one for Pavlov! (True story!)

The app is pretty self explanatory - pick a sound, press the button, pee. That being said, if you have any problems with the app itself send me a note, if your problems are more in the peeing area - well, you're on your own. Lastly, if you have a favorite sound loop that others might enjoy, post a link with your comment so we can all check it out. If it is open source and works for folks, I'll add it to a future, uhm, "release".
Best,
Phil
